Because the revolve axis is vertically fixed, the open or closed path that you revolve typically needs to depict half of the desired 3D object’s profile in a vertical and front-facing position you can then rotate the 3D object’s position in the effect’s dialog box. On the other hand I can export a Step File which carries all the bodies in my scene, bring to Moi and export as OBJ (quads) and I get all my bodies in quads in C4D. Revolving sweeps a path or profile in a circular direction around the global y axis (revolve axis) to create a 3D object. obj files into Blender (smoothing problems, normals problems.), try this wonderful script written by Anthony. PS: I know you can select a body and export to OBJ, but if you have 10+ bodies and you have to do this for each one separately, it becomes super time consuming. Fantastic MoI3D-Blender import script Post by BbB » Thu 10:59 am If you, like me, have been having problems importing MoI3D. There's just too many reasons why this is needed, even huge artists like Kirill Chepizhko have made requests (in 2015) and still this is not implemented. It was taking too long to import on my I7-4700 and I also had Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop opened. I (for example) need to bring my models back into Cinema 4D for animation, texturing, rendering, and we all know that you can't really UV Map correctly with triangles. To use that, first select an object from the style you want to target, then hit the key to. And exported the retopod OBJ and imported in MOI3D ver 4. I think having the option to export in Quads directly from Fusion 360 is a must have.

More and more Motion Graphics/Videogame/Film artists, like myself, are moving into Fusion 360 (because it's a kickass program) but it's not really fair or productive to have to spend another $300 on a software like Moi just to export F360 Step files as OBJ with Quads. Moi3D NX Unigraphics OBJ Onshape OpenSCAD Parasolid Powermill Powershape Pro/Engineer Wildfire PTC Creo Parametric PTC Creo Elements Rhino. I spent a fair amount of time researching this on the forum and even though I've seen people asking for this since 2014 it's sad to see this is not yet implemented.
